Meet the Sirius Silver edition
The DB Milau Sirius edition is named after the star Sirius.
When we look up at the night sky, the brightest star we can see is Sirius.
The heliacal rising of Sirius marked the flooding of the Nile in Ancient Egypt and the "dog days" of summer for the ancient Greeks, while to the Polynesians, mostly in the Southern Hemisphere, the star marked winter and was an important reference for their navigation around the Pacific Ocean.
The Sirius has been calculated as being 1.29 times bigger than the Sun.The Sun's radius is 695,800km, therefore the star's radius is an estimated 897,444.94.km.
The distance to Sirius was calculated to be 24,142.61 light years, or 7,402.00 parsecs, Using the original Hipparcos data that was released in 1997, the parallax to the star was given as 379.21 which gave the calculated distance to Sirius as 8.60 light years away from Earth or 2.64 parsecs.
