Jose "Shorty" Torres

Me and my DB Milau
“I always had my own style in fighting. Keeping this style close to myself works best for me. When I’m competing I always try to get everything out of me and use all of my skills, training, and aggressive nature to win. Keeping myself unique and true to my form keeps me winning. Also, the help of my team and the support I get from everyone around the world truly motivates me to keep doing more”.

Outside the ring I am another person. My friends, family and my community are all that matter to me. Besides the rough edges of being a fighter, I also want to do things that matter and make a change. Luckily, my sport allows me to do that. It makes me feel great and it helps bring colors in my life.

When I need to do anything nice, classy, stylish, or business related I have to dress the part from head to toe. A friend of mine introduced me to a relatively new Dutch watch brand. I looked into it and knew this was totally my style. I had never heard of DB Milau before, but the look of their handmade watches and the fact that they are different than the obvious choices immediately attracted my attention.

Looking at their models, I fell for the DB Milau Diadem Rose Gold edition. It’s just beautiful and it adds color and class to my wardrobe. It was an easy choice when I heard their story which all started with one simple question. “Why be one of a million when you could be one in a million?”

Everyone has their own story, here’s mine

Jose Shorty Torres is a professional flyweight fighter from Chicago, Illinois. “My background and world titles span from Karate, Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, Wrestling and MMA. Currently, I am a flyweight contender in the UFC, but before that I was the undisputed Titan FC flyweight and bantamweight champion with multiple title defenses.” He was also one of the most accomplished amateur mixed martial artists in the world with a record of 25-1, that included a 25 fight winning streak with two back to back world championships in the IMMAF, being an NJCAA All American status in college wrestling, a Muay Thai national champion, a Kickboxing international champion, and a two time Pan American Kick Boxing champion. At a very young age, his accolades speak for themselves and at only 8 professional fights, he has a total record of 73-23.

Looking forward and ready for it

“I’m excited to showcase my skills as my career continues to grow, but along the way I want to help and teach fighters what I’ve learned in my career to help them better advance in theirs. My UFC career is just beginning and I’m excited to see what comes next, but no matter what happens along the way, I will always say We Can, We Will, Together, We Are, Team Shorty!”
